If you're interested in collaborative efforts towards outreach, diversity, and health disparities  &  want to build a REAL INTERPROFESSIONAL community, students from all schools are invited to come to The HUB Monday afternoons  THE HUB has been building a welcoming diverse community space and invite all students to come for discussion, programs, study, support and interpro interaction. Last year students noticed there is not enough interaction between the schools of pharmacy, dental, medicine, nursing, and physical therapy at UCSF. In addition, each school has parallel programs that mentor, outreach, and work on health disparities - DID you know UCSF has over 100 programs that focus on some form of outreach? So why don't we get together and try to create a space that can support all of us while developing collaboration between the different schools?

UCSF TAKES ON BIOLOGICS COST: AFFORDABLE MEDICINES FOR PATIENTS
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) want Congress to hear that we, as future health professionals, stand up for our patients to ensure they have access to affordable medicines. Biologic medicines (many treatments for arthritis, cancer, and vaccines), average 22-48 thousand dollars a year, making them unaffordable and inaccessible to many patients. Language in current health care reform is set to keep it that way, setting up market monopolies which put an unsustainable burden on our already broken health system. Join the fight for affordable medicines and TAKE ACTION NOW! www.AffordableMedsNOW.org  Contact Rebecca.Mitchell@ucsf.edu
